David Goodfield, Murdoch University, joins Sustainable Buildings as Editor-in-Chief

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. David Goodfield as the new Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Sustainable Buildings. Dr. Goodfield teaches at Murdoch University (Perth, Australia) and is an expert in renewable energy technology, sustainable development and carbon management in the built environment.

Dr. Goodfield lectures at Murdoch and Curtin Universities currently in the units of Sustainable Engineering, Transition to Post-carbon Economy, Circular Economy and Innovation, and Climate Policy. He also has broad experience in organizing and managing conferences at Murdoch University and is currently organizing the World Renewable Energy Congress 2022 and the Conference on Water & Wastewater Management. From 2018 to the present, he is an appointed member of the World Renewable Energy Network Technical Advisory Committee.

“My experience enables me to lead a research team; synthesize contributions and complete the report writing process for a wide variety of subjects that include sustainable development, carbon management in the built environment, mining industry, industry generally, sustainable construction, solar pumping of water for irrigation and remote area water supply, and related renewable energy areas,” Dr. Goodfield commented.

Dr. Goodfield’s mission is to give the journal a new start, together with a new Editorial Board. “We welcome Dr. Goodfield to the Sustainable Buildings editorial team and look forward to the beginning of a new era for the journal with a fresh perspective on its strategy. We had the chance to work with Dr. Goodfield on the journal, Renewable Energy & Environmental Sustainability published by EDP Sciences, and we are glad to expand our collaboration,” stated Ariana Fuga, Senior Editor, EDP Sciences.
