Become an Associate Editor for Sustainable Buildings!

The Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the Journal of Sustainable Buildings is seeking new Associate Editors (AEs) in order to strengthen the Editorial Board.

Sustainable Buildings is an essential resource for architects, engineers, urban planners, and researchers committed to advancing global sustainability while addressing affordability challenges and enhancing quality of life. The peer-reviewed content highlights innovations that foster climate-resilient, energy-efficient, and affordable built environments across diverse settings—from densely populated urban areas to suburban neighbourhoods and rural landscapes.

We welcome applications specifically from experts in the following domains: see the Journal’s Aims & Scope. Applications from experts in other fields in which Green Building, Renewable Energy or Zero Carbon play a role will also be considered.

An Associate Editor (AE) will handle autonomously manuscripts in their field of expertise. This includes choosing and inviting reviewers, analysing the reviews, and requesting manuscript revisions as applicable. The handling AE is in charge of the communication between the journal, the author and the reviewers until the final decision which will be taken by the EiC. An applicant should be aware that Sustainable Buildings editorship requires commitment, responsiveness and time to fulfill the assigned tasks. Associate Editors are not remunerated for their editorial work.

The call will remain open until vacant positions are filled.
